Q. Is it really free?
Yes, it's really free!
Q. Why is it free?
I'm not professional guide, and so I probably can't tell you much about Kyoto's history, or the details of the places you visit. I'm just a regular Japanese guy who likes to meet people from other countries. I also want a chance to use English sometimes, but not in a classroom setting.
Q. How early in the morning can we start?
I can be flexible, but I prefer not to start before 9 am.
Q. Until what time are you available?
I'm available until 4 pm.
Q. Do we need to pay for gas?
Yes, I'm afraid so. I ask that you contribute 1000 yen toward gas.
Q. How many people can fit in your car?
I can take up to 3 passengers in my car. However, if you are very tall and have long legs, it may not be all that comfortable because my car is small. (Nissan Moko)
Q. Where will you take us?
That's up to you! As long as we can go there between 10am and 3 pm, it's fine.
Q. Is it possible for you to drive us outside Kyoto?
I don't mind driving short distances out of Kyoto, for example to Uji, Otsu or Hiezan. If you are keen to go somewhere that is further away, like Nara, you can ask me. It depends on my schedule.
